Bridging the Gap (BTG) is a nationally recognized, 40-hour medical interpreter training course. By the end of the course, participants will have the skills and knowledge necessary to interpret in a medical settings. BTG is taught in English and is open to bilingual speakers of all languages. No medical interpreting experience is required!

Digital Library for kids

Reading Crew is a digital library that:

  • Offers options to consult, read, explore or carry out activities with the support of reading materials on electronic devices.

  • Encourages girls and boys to have experiences of approaching texts and topics in a format other than print.

  • Provides materials and topics that enhance interest in reading and help enrich learning processes.

  • Strengthens the socio-emotional skills, attitudes and values ​​that girls and boys acquire in school.

Tutoring

The Learning Network now has a collaboration agreement with the Frankfort Community Public Library to assist the parents of local K-12 students who are struggling with e-Learning to teach them digital skills (see our Technology Today tab under services to register for one of our Saturday classes).

While the Learning Network will be assisting adults, the Library will be assisting children in elementary, middle, and high school with one-on-one tutoring services.
