Learn about the Benefit Bank
More than $624 million in federal work supports dollars (Pell grants, health insurance, etc.) are unclaimed every year in Indiana by eligible residents who do not apply. The Benefit Bank of Indiana is an outreach effort meant to remedy this situation, which is sponsored by Purdue University Cooperative Extension in partnership with community and faith-based organizations across the state. The Benefit Bank will utilize a state-of-the-art, web-based tool to move more Indiana residents out of unemployment, poverty or welfare and into self-sufficiency, all while boosting the economic prosperity of local communities.
