Beginning Conversational Spanish: Speed Course

This class will prepare students to speak and understand small amounts of general and basic Spanish found in most routine interchanges in daily life. Take advantage of this opportunity to increase your level of confidence in interacting with Spanish-speaking members of our community or your workplace!
In Beginning Spanish, we will focus on introducing the Spanish language, learning practical vocabulary (primarily nouns and adjectives), understanding Spanish pronunciation, teaching sentence-making verb strategies.
Specifically, we’ll work on these topics:
Lesson 1: Alphabet & Pronunciation
Lesson 2: Capitalization & Accents
Lesson 3: Numbers & Counting
Lesson 4: Greetings & Small Talk
Lesson 5: Using Articles & Pronouns
Lesson 6: Using Ser & Estar (the verb “to be” to make sentences)
Lesson 7: Expressing Time & Date
Lesson 8: Talking About the Weather & Using Descriptive Adjectives
